Re: The Second Book « Result #2 on Nov 9, 2009, 9:00pm »
As of now, I have finished 14 chapters in the first draft. This means it'll be a few months before it's done, but there is significant progress. Just thought I'd post something to show this board isn't dead.

Well, I figured I should post SOMETHING, so that when you typed in the web address fempiror.com, and then stumbled onto this board, you didn't think you got yourself into a dead board.
I check it periodically (as its only regular member) to see if anyone has dropped in/registered or whatever. I know there's not much to discuss for now, but it might get interesting as time goes on.

Personally, I reviewed movies for awhile, and I have a couple hundred reviews at reviews.fempiror.com, which is actually a blogspot blog, but it worked really well for what it was. Those were originally done on MySpace, but I decided to move it around to something more public and more controllable.
The Initiation of David is available for purchase! « Result #6 on Aug 24, 2009, 8:56am »
So the big news is the release of the first book for public consumption, which also marks the removal of the screenplays as a whole from this site, since they are big spoilers for what comes next, and really, I made a lot of changes as I novelized, so in all likelihood, the changes will abound as I adapt the next stories.
The cover image will show up in the next few days, and it will be available on Amazon.com in the next couple weeks.
The Second Book « Result #7 on Aug 18, 2009, 8:23am »
So yes, I am continuing the series almost immediately after finishing the first book. It is based on several already-written screenplays, so the plot and such isn't an issue. It's just the time to convert the whole thing over and make it into a book, which is a bit of a chore.
If you have read the second screenplay at some point, please don't post spoilers or even plot points in this thread. I'd rather have some speculation more than discussions over what came before. After all, if you read both the original script and then the novel for The Initiation of David, you probably noticed significant differences between the two. The same just might occur here. Dunno yet. Haven't gotten that far at this point...
Grammatical Goofs, Typos, Omissions, and Faux Pas « Result #8 on Aug 18, 2009, 8:18am »
So if you're on this site, you might have read this book. Or you might be reading this book right now. Either way, I want your help. Despite the fact that this has been read over and over and over, there might still be mistakes in it. Heck, you can find mistakes in nearly every book out there (found a couple when I read through the most recent edition of Lord of the Rings recently).
I want to know about these mistakes. If you find something wrong, please post it on this thread so I can correct it for the next edition of the book.
A great little self-publishing site that provides a print-on-demand service. Works good for getting your stuff out there right away, though since you're not printing in bulk, the cost vs. profit ratio is a little high. But on the other hand, it costs you nothing. Their take comes out of sales you make and they do everything for you, so it's not bad.
This is the service I am using to publish to begin with.
I started working on this in December off the screenplay with my series bible at my side, and got done with it last week. Now, my wife (who isn't a script person, but loves to read books) is going to read through it to see if it all makes sense. Once it does, I'm sending it in for publishing via Createspace on Amazon.
The First Novel « Result #13 on Mar 2, 2009, 12:55pm »
It's coming soon, but I have completed an adaptation of the first screenplay into a novel form. It contains a lot more info than the screenplays could ever squeeze in. More info when I get more info.

As a sort of update, since I started the website on November 15th, the scripts have been collectively hit a total of 1,810 times. So people are reading. I plan on writing more at some point, but I just don't have the time right now.
Perhaps if I see that people are interested in more, it will encourage me to get on the stick.

The hits on the pdf files was up to 318 yesterday. Hits on the site have continued to increase over the month. Turning out new episodes has helped this quite a bit.
Does anyone read this stuff? You bet! « Result #16 on Dec 11, 2006, 9:55am »
With Fempiror having its own domain, one of the coolest things I've been able to do is find out how many times the specific scripts have been accessed, and in the first ten days of December, the scripts have taken 200 unique hits. This means if you clicked on the same title 5 times in a row, it only counted once.
200 reads of 14 scripts may not seem like much, but I'm excited about it.
I've been a member at this site for awhile now, and it's really the first place that Fempiror got any attention. Multiple people have read the scripts to date over there, and I'm even a mod on one of the boards. I spend a lot of time over there.
New Board Opened « Result #18 on Jul 9, 2006, 7:04pm »
Today, the board for the Fempiror Chronicles series began. It replaces The Nibelung Mines as being the official board for the series and will serve as the home for other scripts.
This board will be dedicated to the Fempiror and everything about them. I hope it will be enjoyable for all that come through.
